Capcom make spelling mistake on Revelations' box
I don't know the how true this claim is, because is seems like such an amateur mistake, but apparently on review copies of the new Resident Evil game on the 3DS, Revelations, the game's name is misspelled on the spine as "REVELAITONS" (the mistake being the 'I' and the 'T' being the wrong way around for those who didn't spot it - I know it took me a couple glances).
Ooops

The game came out in Europe today but I haven't had chance to see if the mistake made it all the way to general release, but you would hope that it will be fixed for the North American and Australian releases next month - not that it will affect sales, it's just a little embarrassing...

Steam coming to Android and iOS devices
It seems Valve are trying to get their gaming platform on every operating system known to man, as it was only last week that we reported the rumour of Steam coming to Linux; and now there is a beta version of Steam for the iOS and Android mobile operating systems.
As mentioned, the app is only in Beta at the moment, with users downloading the app and expressing their interest in using Steam on-the-go, but, once fully live, users will be able to chat with your Steam friends, browse groups and profiles, and potentially buy games to be attached to your account.  There is currently no news as to whether there are plans to allow purchases and downloads of games (though Apple are notoriously against allowing other 'stores' on their devices), but this can't be far from Valve's minds.

New Minecraft mob coming in next update
Last week I reported on the upcoming Jungle biome in Minecraft, and also said that there would be a specialist mob to go with the jungle environments.  It turns out that the new mob is not the popularly demanded monkey, but an Ocelot:
I can't tell the difference...

The jungle cat will be similar to the wolf, in that you will find them randomly wandering the land and can tame them to be your companion!  It is believed that you will need to entice the Ocelot over with a fish and then feed it, for it to become your feline-friend, though this needs confirmation.

Ubisoft to continue yearly Assassin's Creed releases
The Assassin's Creed series began as a pretty impressive proof-of-concept game that made up for its dull repetitiveness by being one of the most fun free-roaming games in years.  But since Assassin's Creed 2 came out it has been a fantastic annual romp around renaissance Europe, where you can run and jump and kill (and swim, thankfully) til your heart's content - and if Ubisoft have anything to do with it, them being the developer/publisher makes it likely that they will have something to do with it,  Assassin's Creed will continue to have yearly releases, including this year's supposed Assassin's Creed 3 and beyond.
Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft head honcho, said "We think that delivering regular installments and expanding the brand to other platforms will continue to satisfy the demand, while at the same time attracting new fans.", clearly stating Ubisoft's intentions of bringing us more and more of the iconic stabby-stab gameplay!
