All PC copies of Mass Effect 3 will use Origin
Yes, PC gamers, that means you will not be able to use Steam to download or install the conclusion of Bioware's magnificent space-opera Mass Effect.  EA have really been pushing their online distribution client onto gamers the last couple of months, with Battlefield 3's PC version also coming with this condition.
Personally, I will be playing this game on the Xbox, as with the previous two iterations, so this does not (Mass) affect me, but I know this will piss a lot of people off.
I have not been able to find an official answer about whether Steam save files of Mass Effect 2 will carry over to the Origin-based Mass Effect 3, but the consensus in forums is that because the saves for this game are stored in 'My Documents' rather than in Steam folders, you should be able to have your choices affect the new game.

Mass Effect 3 is released March 9 2012 (March 6 2012 North America)

'The Avengers' will be told from Steve Rogers' point of view
Joss Whedon recently announced that when The Avengers comes out this summer (May 4 2012!) it will be told from only from Captain America's perspective; this is to make the story more fluid and easy to understand for any newcomers for whom this may be the first film in the series.  Whedon also stated that this decision does not mean Rogers is the main character, or that anyone will be losing out on screen-time, merely that he is the character through whose eyes the viewers will experience the movie.
This is probably the best way for the film to be done, as it means the film can, most likely, pick up where Captain America: The First Avenger left off and allow the film to dump exposition on us in the form of characters being introduced to Steve Rogers and any of the aforementioned newbies.
Information like this can only be encouraging for anyone waiting on tenterhooks for the film, as it shows Whedon and everyone else involved are really thinking about how to make this the best superhero film of all time, rather than letting it become a fountain of hollow moments of fanservice.

Avatar: The Legend of Korra fight scene
The folks over at i09 have gotten themselves a nice 35 second clip of the long awaited sequel to hit animated show 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'. The clip features the shows protagonist beating on some goons and kicking all kinds of ass. It's looking promising and I for one am very excited for this show. Though I do have a bit of a problem with the animation seen in the clip. I can't exactly put my finger on it but I think it is the shading, it seems almost a little... too polished.

Anyway you can judge for yourselves here.
