Mewtwo event coming to Pokemon Black and White next month

As you may know if you are a regular reader of this blog, I am in the middle of a pretty epic challenge to catch every current Pokemon, from the first generation through to Black and White.  Arguably one of the most famous Pokemon is Mewtwo, from the first generation - he even has a movie! The First Movie!  He pretty much hasn't appeared in any games since those, other than the remakes, but now you can get it for free! Well, you can only download it onto Pokemon Black or White, but if you have those games it's free!

Mewtwo becomes available for download on February 12th on, you guessed it, Pokemon Black and White!  The only conditions are that you need to find a Wi-Fi connection (easy enough) and must have 11 or fewer Wonder Cards in your posession (whatever that means...)

Marvel has next 2 year's worth of films scheduled

The Marvel superhero movies are one of the hottest franchises in Hollywood right now, so it's not surprising that they're looking quite far into the future with where they're taking their blockbuster heroes.  Comingsoon.net have nicely collated all information relating to known future releases made in-house by Marvel themselves (rather than Spider-Man, which is made by Sony, for example).  Right after The Avengers has dropped, work will begin on Iron Man 3, with views to a May 2013 release; after that comes Thor 2, which will hopefully be released in November 2013; there are also rumours of a Doctor Strange film going into production soon, with reports saying that Thomas Donnely has a completed script, and the studio is now looking for a director, with the star casting to come after - this has a predicted release date of April 2014; Captain America 2 will follow that, hopefully coming in May 2014; and presumably there will be an Avengers 2 sometime in 2015, should everything go to plan.

There are many, many, many other rumours for other films Marvel are planning to do in the future (a Nick Fury film; Black Panther; Namor; Antman; a Fantastic Four reboot etc.), but these are the relatively solid bets for what you can expect in the next couple of years - not too shabby eh?

Set pics of Dark Knight Rises show Bane's scars

New images from Dark Knight Rises have surfaced, showing the explanation for Bane's weird mask - he has some horrible scarring on his face and at the top of his neck, the mask pumping painkillers into him so he can cope with the excruciating pain he would be going through otherwise. Behold!

There is a bigger picture over at the site I found the picture, but I thought it was even grosser than the one above, so I'll leave you to make the judgment call..
