Wizards of the Coast reprinting AD&D Core Rulebooks
Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition was only announced a couple of weeks ago and now, possibly looking to take advantage of the publicity, Wizards of the Coast have announced that the original three rulebooks for Advanced Dungeons and Dragons are being republished.
There will be a limited-edition version of the Players Handbook, Dungeon Master's guide and the Monster Manual, with proceeds from sales going towards the Gygax Memorial Fund, which is raising money to have a statue of D&D co-creator Gary Gygax built in Lake Geneva.
The books are expected for release in April of this year.

Is Steam coming to Linux?
A posting for a job position has sparked rumours of a Linux-based version of Valve's digital distribution client, Steam.  The job is for a "Senior Software Engineer", whose primary responsibility will be to "port Windows-based games to the Linux platform", so the rumours would seem to be perfectly reasonable..
There have of course been similar rumours in the past (such as towards the end of 2010 were working on ports of their Source engine), but obviously none have come to fruition just yet.  This is the best hint yet, however, that the penguin-people haven't escaped the notice of Valve!

Skyrim Creation Kit "Nearly ready"
The latest patch to Skyrim came with word that both the Creation Kit and Steam Workshop were "nearly ready" for release, and should be expected by "the end of the month".  So that's what? 10 days or so at the most until we can expect mountains of awesome (and not so awesome) user created content?  I'm game!
I have already written about my experiences with modding Skyrim, but I can't imagine what the communities of modders will come up with with the Creation Kit at their fingertips.  Not long to wait at least!

Resident Evil 6 Trailer Online
If you haven't seen it yet, I'll give you a minute..
Ready? Ok.
How cool does that look?  Leon looks like a biker, and Chris is going in all-guns-blazing and taking down what appear to be zombies with assault rifles?
I am really looking forward to this.  It is difficult to guess who you will be playing as, or whether you will flit between characters as the game progresses, or maybe there will be several game-modes?  Who knows? But I'm excited!

Resident Evil 6 will be released on the 20th of November 2012
