Rocksteady rumoured to be making Ninja Turtles game
In 2009, Arkham Asylum (the videogame) broke a tradition that had been in place since around the time of Spider-Man 2 (the videogame) and was actually very good, ending up on many critics' Game Of The Year lists.  Last year Arkham City also knocked it out of the park, and many people wondered what would come next.  Another Batman game?  The rumoured Superman game?  Well, if PaulGaleNetwork are to be believed, the next game could very well be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game - wow!
The game would feature all four of the original Ninja Turtles using their signature weapons, along with shurikens, smoke-bombs and a whole host of other ninja-y weapons.  Splinter, April O'Neil and Casey Jones would also be making appearances, along with the Turtles' rogues gallery including Shredder and The Foot, Bebop and Rocksteady (where have I seen that name before?) and Krang (the weird, shrivelled brain-alien).
The original source of this information is not named, but the timing seems pretty much perfect - Nickelodeon start airing their new CGI Turtles TV show this year, and the game, taking 18 months to two years to make, would be coming out around the same time as the Michael Bay live-action reboot movies.  I have many, many digits crossed hoping this turns out to be true..

Blizzcon 2012 CANCELED
Blizzard announced today that Blizzcon, their annual convention is being canceled. Their reason was that the company is "heavily focused on getting Diablo III, [World of Warcraft's] Mists of Pandaria, and [Starcraft II's] Heart of the Swarm into players' hands as soon as possible." This seems like a poor excuse to me.
Don't get me wrong, hosting something as huge as Blizzcon will take a lot of time away from their main focus of making games but its not like they haven't been working on multiple projects for the past 6 years and its not like the convention just snuck up on them, they have it every year after all.

New Xbox to use Blu-Ray; May not accept used games
Near the beginning of this console generation, Microsoft and the Xbox 360 put all its chips on black the HD DVD format while Sony and the Playstation 3 hit it big with Blu-Ray.  I don't know the details of why Blu-Ray beat HD DVD, and I don't really care to be honest, but it appears the next-gen Xbox will be using Blu-Rays, instead of the 16 year-old DVDs, capable of storing more than five-times the data of a DVD.
There are also rumours that will please game publishers - the Xbox 720 (or whatever they decide to call it, personally I'm guessing 1080) may not allow used games to be played on the console.  How they could do this is anyone's guess - maybe a unique code on each disc that registers that copy when you go online? Maybe it will be a downloads-only console?  However they were to do it, it would drastically change the make-up of the game retail industry, potentially destroying many companies in the process...
Of course, all of this is speculation as Microsoft have revealed pretty much nothing about their next console, other than the fact that it is in development.
