New Avengers trailer!!!
Need I say more?
Nothing new revealed in it, but it looks friggin' amazing!  Still no good look at the 'aliens', but if anyone can tell me what that awesome flying serpent at the end is I'd like to know!
This is the UK trailer, with a US one going up later, which I will also post if there is much different!

Lionhead website has gained a countdown timer
But what does it mean?
Surprising little has been heard from Lionhead studios over the last year or so; hard at work on Fable: The Journey, it seemed like all attentions were on the Kinect exclusive.  But the appearance of a mysterious countdown and a red button (the clothes variety) on the Lionhead website have left many wondering what will happen when the counter reaches zero.
A new-look website has been promised, but the tantalising "Who knows what other surprises are coming..." implies an announcement will be made at the same time.
The countdown runs out next Monday (March 5) at 2PM Greenwich Mean Time, and inference has lead many to believe the announcement will be made at the Games Developer Conference, which runs all next week.
I personally never got round to playing Fable 3, so the prospect of another game in that particular series hasn't got me excited; but with legendary innovator Peter Molyneux around, the unexpected should be expected...

Beamdog will be making Baldur's Gate announcement "soon"
In what has all the hallmarks of an internet-based Augmented Reality Game, secret messages have been found in the page source of :

<!-- Shadowy Figure- Raise Dead : Infinity Engine -->
<!-- For years, I clung to the memory of it. Then the memory of the memory. -->
<!-- And then... it returned. Better than it was before. -->
<!-- Pore over the tapestries and works of art hanging from our walls if you wish, Child of Bhaal... perhaps you will find a clue. But patience, ah... patience would reveal it all. -->

"Perhaps you will find a clue" eh?  "Patience would reveal it all" huh?  Seems like an invitation to do some delving into Baldur's Gate websites code for hints.  Pop to it then; I'll wait here...

Trent Oster, former Bioware designer and founder of the Beamdog studio, has admitted that there will be a Baldur's Gate announcment "soon", and tells that it will have nothing to do with the upcoming Steam release of Baldur's Gate 2.  This narrowing down pretty much tells us to expect a HD remake of one of the games (presumably the original), or an entirely new entry to the series.  Either way, expect more from this apparent ARG, or Bioware themselves if I have jumped the gun somewhat...

  1. The serpent may be the Midgard serpent Jormungand.
