The Infinite Stream is where we post about items that are news-worthy but not necessarily require their own full article.  Check after the jump for news from 03/02/2012!

Handheld Mass Effect coming to smartphones
EA sent out a pretty vague press release today stating "There will be "handheld/mobile" products tied to Mass Effect 3" with very little information otherwise, though whatever this game/"product" is, it will be somehow tying into Mass Effect 3's multiplayer system 'Galaxy at War'.  The game being only 5 weeks away from release suggests that further information must be coming soon, though the lateness with which this is all being announced also suggests that it's possibly not much to look forward to.
The Mass Effect series had a brief dalliance with mobile gaming with the entry Mass Effect: Galaxy, which was a little story-telling game that gave some information about Mass Effect 2 a little early, including appearances from Jacob and Miranda, but it wasn't anything special.
I'll keep you updated with any more news about this mysterious game.

'Meet The Pyro' coming soon + Top secret TF2 project in the works
Quite a bit of news was posted on the Team Fortress 2 website today, including the two juicy stories above.
First up, the final 'Meet the...' video featuring the Pyro is coming soon, and is to be titled 'There Will be Blood' though, as the post points out, has no affiliation to the movie from a few years back - so there's that cleared up.  The video is rumoured to finally clear up whether or not the Pyro is a man or a woman, with various hints dotted around TF2 lore suggesting that either could be the case - or maybe Valve will be just as ambiguous as usual and keep us guessing indefinitely...
Also mentioned was that there is a 'Secret' project being worked on by the TF2 team.  All that has been revealed is that it is neither a map, nor a hat, nor a hat-map hybrid: but it is going to be really cool apparently!
No dates were mentioned for either of these reveals, but I'd expect more information any time now.

Ubisoft PC games to be 'Unplayable' next Tuesday
Ubisoft have notoriously frustrating DRM attached to their PC games - having to always be online, even when playing singleplayer games springs to mind - but this latest piece of news really takes the biscuit for shocking services.  On Tuesday the 7th of February, Ubisoft are moving their servers, over an unspecified length of time, during which gamers will not be able to authenticate their copies of their legally purchased games, so will not be able to play said games!  Appalling!
Hopefully the process of moving the servers wont take longer than an hour or two, but to not be able to play games that you actually bought for any length of time is completely unreasonable.  It's about time someone called Ubisoft out on these behaviours.  Any takers?

Monte Asks for D&DNext Racial Advice
D&D veteran designer Monte Cook put up a new poll on the WoTC website today asking for players opinions on the importance of Race in D&D, both mechanically and for flavor.
Personally I voted for moderate, as did the masses it would seem. I think that Race should play an important part in the game, a halfling is of course going to be different than a Dragonborn, but racial choice shouldn't restrict class choices, just change how to approach playing that class, while providing enough difference so that players of the same class but different race still play differently.
