Assassin's Creed 3 confirmed to be set in American Revolution
A couple of weeks ago Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin's Creed 3 will be coming out on the 30th of October, less than a year after Revelations, and rumours abound that it would be set during the American revolution. It appears now that those rumours were correct, as several pieces of artwork have apparently 'leaked', including boxart, confirming the time period in which the game will take place.
This is all well and good, the American revolution is a very interesting period of history - fighting against the British, interaction with the Native Americans etc. But many people have been wondering about how the series' trademark parkour/free-running will feature in a setting whose overwhelming image, to most people, is of wide, open plains and dense battlefields...
Though I'm sure Ubisoft thought this through a great deal, I also can't help but be apprehensive about how well this new game will fit into the rest of the series.

Valve will be attending E3 2012
Last year, to quash rumours of Half-Life 3 and prevent disappointment when it wasn't present, Valve did not appear at the 2011 E3 convention but have recently announced that they will, however, be showing their faces at this year's event.
Obviously, internet message boards will be going wild over speculation that Valve may once and for all reveal just what they're doing with Half-Life, but it seems much more likely that they will merely be showing off DOTA 2 and the new Counter Strike game: Global Offensive.
There is by no means any reason to say that Valve won't have anything Half-Life related at the expo, but it's probably safest for gamers everywhere to not go holding their breath...
